Right now there's been a bit of a new trend started, so here's the deal: Either you or a friend can create five questions, and you send those questions to your friend, or they send them to you. Then, you copy and paste the questions and the answers to them in your diary...it's that simple. These questions were created for me by my good friend kay. So, hold on to your hats kiddies, because here we go! heh!
1. Do you regret having children at such a young age? Why? To be honest, I have never regretted having my children at such a young age in the sense that I resent being tied down, or that I am angry that things didn't work out with their father. The only thing I have ever regretted is the fact that since I was only eighteen when my daughter Amanda was born and twenty when my daughter Alyssa was born, I was completely unprepared to give them the life that they deserved financially. I only had a high school education, I had no money saved, and had only a waitressing job where I was depending mainly on tip money (which was next to nothing), to try and provide them both with the things they needed. And even though I have loved my daughters more than anything from the moment they were born, I wasn't financially ready to have children, which has always made it a struggle for the three of us. It also doesn't help matters that their father is a deadbeat who refuses to support his children in any way, shape, or form. So now, I'm living at home while I am going to college, and although I thank God for my parents and all of their help, it's hard living with them sometimes. I would never wish that I hadn't had children, but I do wish that I would have waited until I was married and settled into a career, as it would have meant a better life for them. 2. Is there ever a time when you've wanted to give up on finding "The One"? Why? There have been many times when I have wanted to hole up in my house and just hide - and especially hide from meeting a man. I'm not one to be a big "all-men-are-pigs" kind of female, but lately I have gotten very discouraged with dating, because it's hard to find a man who isn't into game playing, lying, and messing around with two or three women at a time right under your nose. Oh, and there are also the three deadly sins to consider: (when you meet a guy, these are three guidelines to live by - so upon hearing them, RUN LIKE HELL!) 1) He still lives at home...(pathetic) 2) He has no job...(completely pathetic) 3) He has no car...(what man doesn't make it a mission in life to have a fucking VEHICLE?) You'd be surprised at how many of them are out there, though! 3. If you had to name one song that has influenced your life, what is it? Why? This is one question that I don't have a clear answer on, because music is the one constant in my life and always has been. I've always been a hard-rock, heavy-metal chick, who loves going to concerts and basically driving around in my truck with my stereo blaring so loud that the neighbors can hear me coming from about a block or so over. (and of course my windows vibrate like a ghetto cruiser - LMAO!) To name one song...that would never do my music justice, because there are so many songs that influence you every day with their lyrics - and this largely depends on what kind of mood you're in that day, or what you happen to be going through in life when you hear that particular song. Music is a calming drug, but it's also a rush...it's the blood pounding in your veins, it's the salt in your tears. To me, music is as near to perfection as it gets. 4. When you finish school/college, what course do you want your career to take? I am going to college right now to get my RN degree, and have a year left now. I will always be a nurse, and preferably in a hospital, but I am planning on specializing in Oncology Nursing, Cardiac Nursing, or working in Skilled Care (preferrably Pediatrics or Geriatrics). I would also like to go back to school after I've worked as an RN for a few years and earn my BA. Nursing is something I very much love doing, because I've just always had a love of helping people, and have always had the ability to take care of very sick patients. I know it's a career that I won't change my mind about, because I enjoy doing it so much. 5. Tequila or absinthe? Oh, fuck no!!! LMAO! I know damned well I shouldn't make this choice, but defintely Tequila! Yes, I've had my moments where I've drank so many shots of Quervo that I've staggered up my lawn talking really loud to my cat at 4am, (and I mean LOUD, until I realized I was outside my mother's house in the dead of night carrying on a loud-ass conversation with my cat on the front lawn), but hey - Tequila works, dammit! TOE UP FROM THE FLO UP, BITCH!!!! Ok, story time is over kids. But if you'd like some questions made up for your diary, hit me in my guestbook and leave me your email address, and I'll be more than happy to send you some.
