i need to type this entry fast, because i'm about to fall asleep sitting up. ahhh...the joys of codeine. it takes away the pain, but it turns your brains to mush, and makes you feel like you could sleep for days and days. yes, it's pure joy.
i ran around like crazy today. first i had to be to school at 8am for sociology class, and then i had to go to that professor's office and make up two quizzes that i missed while i was absent this week. after that, i had to go down to my english lit professor's office and make up my midterm exam, which was only five questions, but was all essay over the book A Tale of Two Cities. And that, my friends, is enough to give you a migraine right there, if you ask me, let alone having one for five days. anyway, i made up my assignments that i missed, and then i had to run out to the stables where both of my daughters, amanda and alyssa, board their horses and take lessons. but first, i had to run home, (which is a half hour drive for me from school), grab up the girls and their gear, and run them out to the stables, (which is another 20 miles from my house). after i ran them out and got back home, though, i had to take amanda some things she forgot (like the wraps for her horse's legs), and then after that, i went back and picked them up about three hours later. this was all necessary though, as they had to get their horses ready and tack up their stalls, because tomorrow they have a horse show out of town. so getting up at about 5am to get them to the stables by 6am to trailer their horses should be a picnic. that's cool though - i'm actually pretty excited about seeing them ride tomorrow, because amanda (my twelve-year-old), is doing very well for herself. at her last show, which was a walk/trot/canter class and a jumping class, she won two first-place ribbons. that was actually her first time at getting first-place, so she was very proud of herself (and of course i was grinning from ear to ear). she's also won sixth, fifth, third, and second before. the best part about it is that amanda hasn't even been taking lessons and doing shows for a year yet. as for alyssa, (my ten-year-old), she just started with lessons this month, and this is her first show. she's only doing the beginner walking class, but i expect she'll do well, because her horse follows her around like a big puppy dog. it's really sweet how much she's taken to her horse, and how much he's taken to her, especially in the short time she's had him. (she's only had him about a month). and amanda - that kid is just amazing on her horse. her trainer constantly tells me that she has natural ability, and from seeing her in shows, i can see it's true. i'm very proud of both of my girls...can you tell? (me, the proud, bragging mother? no, not me! lol!). well, that's going to have to be all for tonight. i'm having another one of those nights where i really want to stay up, but i can't hold my damned eyes open! but i will be back tomorrow sometime, and i'll let everyone know how it went... oh, and one more thing, before i forget. i am now in the process of moving my site (i started today), so i will get my notify list back up right now so that anyone who wants to can request the link. i did see the people who have already signed up, and i will send out the link tomorrow, guys. until then...have a good one, take care, and wish my girls luck in the show, ok? xxx~ jj12:07 a.mm. - March 29, 2003
